Terms of service

Last updated: 17 May 2026

1. The service

ChildmindPro is a software-as-a-service platform provided by ChildmindPro Ltd ("we") to UK registered childminders ("you"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. Trial

A 30-day free trial of all Pro features is offered with no payment details required. At trial end your account is paused unless you choose a paid plan.

3. Fees, billing and refunds

Fees are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Annual plans: 14-day cooling-off refund period from first payment (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Monthly plans: cancel any time but no refund is given for the current month. We will not auto-bill you without explicit consent.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel any time from the dashboard. Your data remains accessible until the end of the paid period, after which the account is paused for 90 days then permanently deleted (subject to HMRC retention).

5. Your data & content

You retain all rights to the data and content you enter. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to operate the service. We act as a data processor under UK GDPR (see Privacy Policy).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to circumvent security, share login credentials, or use the platform for illegal purposes.

7. Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime caused by third parties (e.g. hosting, payment providers).

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or HMRC penalties caused by your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance by email.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
